Does anyone know how to turn off or get rid of the greeting "as you use ip office you name will be included in system annoucements, please record your name after the tone" when you log into voicemail for the first time?

You could manualy add a Wav file for each user into the Names directory.

Unfortunatly & have not found a way to turn this feature off globaly.

Locate the system prompt that says that and replace it with a half second of silence.

that will stop the msg , but the VM would still require the user to record a name before progressing.

True - instead of silence, replace the wordy system prompt with "Please record your name after the tone:" Not ideal but more tolerable.
