I get problems with people checking VM from offsite and not getting to listen to the complete message. It just cuts them off. For example we have a user that had a 51 second message and she could only listen to about 10 seconds of it. It seems to happen more often with cell phones but occsionally with land lines too.

Any solutions?

Thanks in advance,

-Mike

Are you dailling the one DDI number to the VM? then enter the Extn number, when it states you have x messages when does it cut off?

Have you alted the message length at all, and it this pro or lite, license issue,?

not had this one before though!

This sounds eerily familiar to what we were experiencing. Our problem was traced to a problem with DTMF detection. Apparently there was an issue with people's voices (typically women) at some point during the message simulating a DTMF tone and terminating the message prematurely, and yes, this did occur more often (but not exclusively) with cell phones. Our installer obtained several "patches" for the DTMF alogarithyms from Avaya and eventually upgraded us to VMPro version 1.4 as well. Haven't had a problem with this since.
I was told that this issue was only happening in Canada. Not sure if this is true or not.
