how would you go about restricting a caller from leaving a message in a meridiem mail box? i have a option 61 and need to comnfigure 200 mailboxes with announcement only. excuse me for not being very clear on this issue.

On Rls 13 (and some later versions of Rls 12) there is a setting in the mailbox screen. It is called "Block Message Reception" - you will have to confirm what release you are.

it is release 12 .12 .7 but cannot find block message reception

In that case, you could create one announcement, and add all the DNs you want to block in the voice services DN table. It would be a lot easier than trying to record 200 mailbox greetings.
