Is there any way do allow for outside access to VM messages in VM Pro - in Intuity mode? Further, what if the lines connected to the IP Office do not have CLI service, will that be a further problem in allowing for remote checkin of messages?
I do not believ that you can use the trusted source mode of access in intuity mode. intuity mode requires a passcode.
Even in IP Office mode CLI would be required to enable identification of the caller.
Personaly I like the IP Office mode of operation because it allows trusted users & is the same as VM Lite, However In the UK we do not have so many Audix users to please.
It is also worth noting that most new VM pro features are being set for Intuity mode only.
AVAYA, I know you are reading this, is there a reason for this? you seem to be killing IP Office mode for VM which is a much simpler user interface. Remember Most telephone useres (as aposed to teckies) have enough dificulty making & recieving calls.
Personally I prefer Intuity mode, IPGuru, but then again I grew up on the audix interface.
Hey guys one COOL thing I recently discovered, while we're on the subject. You know how previously you had to be in that silly IP Office mode in order to display all your voicemails and have mailbox controls in Phone Manager? Well, with 2.1 it works in Intuity mode also - but ONLY if you're running Phone Manager Pro.
Hmmm.... just as I suspected. I'm partial to Intuity mode solely out of familiarity. Unfortunatly I haven't done much with IP Office mode - it sounds like it has some features which Avaya would be wise to incorporate into Intuity. Thanks for the responses.
