Voicemail to Email with GoDaddy

I have a new install 11.1.0.2 with UCM and I'm trying to get voicemail to email working with their GoDaddy email cloud server smtpout.secureserver.net and am not having any luck. I have the info regarding server, port number, and account login. Have any of you been able to get this working? Do I need to load a cert? Are there other options if this just will not work?

do SMTP logging and see what the issue is when the voicemail connects.

You won't believe this, but the customer gave me the wrong port number for SMTP. Plugged in the correct port and all is good.

That's what we call a problem between the chair and the desk.

To be fair godaddy is kind of weird when it comes to smtp ports. It can technically use 465, 587, 80, 3535, and 25. I had an install a few years ago when one port worked in house but when used on site it didn't work so we tried a different port on site and it worked.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
