voicemail to email Ip office Vm Pro on app server

Hi guys, need some help.
I am trying to setup voicemail to email, IPO 9.0, vm pro on app server. When I put in the exchange server ip 1.148 as the domain and server ip with a valid email and password, and then on the smtp receiver tab has,internal, port 25 and the exchange server IP on it.
However when I save and reboot the app server, the domain ip changes to that of the app server. So instead of 1.148 it has 5.4 and voicemail to email is not working. Anyone have experience with voicemail to email using vm pro on an app server?
