Voicemail to Email Embedded 6.1

I'm working on an IPO 6.1.22 with embedded voicemail. I am trying to set up the voicemail to email function. IT has sent me all the smtp settings and has confirmed them, I have set up my IP Route, and have the email set in the user config. When a voicemail is left, however, no email. Any thoughts as to what the issue could be?
 
Verify that you can ping the mail server from system status. Open monitor, set trace filters for SMTP, and leave a voicemail. Post the monitor trace here.
 
Saw this message in Monitor.

2173131913mS LVM(email): Voicemail email discarded because queue limit has been reached (100). SMTP server down?
 
Reboot the IPO to clear the buffer.

Too many unread messages for the user with e-mail enabled?
Check with SSA how many messages there are and if necessery delete the messages using a serial cable, google for the commands.
