Hi

We have a MXE with MCD 4.1Sp1. They have asked us to enable the feature in their voicemail to be able to dial the person's cell phone. The barring level is correct on all Voicemail ports to allow for mobile phone calls. When I test this and press 2 to reach the person on his cell phone it plays MOH and then just loops back to the "if you have a touch tone phone....."

When running a CCS trace, I get the following error:

16:03:15 RO30 DPN 2B ISRM_I ;10;*1*1#*50*9851#*80*1#*100*STEPHEN SMITH*1#

Am I missing a new security feature somewhere?

Class of service option of voicemail port
Allow DPNSS and Trunk to Trunk access

Public Network Access via DPNSS set to Yes
Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed set to Yes

You might want to check that these are also enabled on your trunks as well

thanks but I have tried that and still no luck, keeps looping back to voicemail prompt.

are you trunks allowed to dial out?

Check your COR groups and make sure that the Trunk COR is not in the COR group for mobile phone access

have checked all of that as well.

The bizarre thing is that if i dial out over some analog trunks it works, but when dialing over the PRI (E1) it does not work. I have compared the COS settings and can't see anything funny or missing.

Here's where I'd suggest the problem is:
You're using a "Flex" type trunk that comes into your building via SIP to a router that breaks it off to a PRI for your 3300.
What happens is this: your VM is trying to transfer the caller out but your Carrier is reading the call as originating from the caller ID of the caller being transferred. Since that number is not in your DID block the carrier bars it.

This fix is this:
Go to the form "ISDN Protocol" and deactivate "Replace External CLID"

That should resolve it.

Another thing - easier to try - is in the COS of the VM ports change "Display Held Call ID on Transfer" to NO

Is it possible to setup a phone with the same CoS & CoR as the voicemail ports and then try dialling the mobile number and see if you can dial out.
