On Voicemail Pro when a user for the first time accesses their voicemail they are asked to record their name. The message is something like 'As you are using IP Office you must first record your name'. All well and good but for example when someone leaves a company and you have a new starter, without having to go into the voicemail pro files, how can you access and re-record this name?

If you run your VM Pro in IP Office mode there doesn't seem to be a way to do this from your voicemail menu.

If you use Intuity mode you can do the following

Log in to your mailbox.
Press 5 to for personal options.
Press 5.
If you have already recorded your name, you hear it played back to you. You also hear an explanation of when your name is used.
After the tone, speak your name and then press 1 to stop recording.

Note
Recordings must be at least 3 seconds long.
Your recording is played back.
To record your name again, press 1.
To accept the recording, press #.
Hang up or choose another option.

Or, when you change the name of the user, a new "box" (folder) gets created and it will automatically have the FIRSTTIME flag set to Yes.

This is assuming you didn't keep your Extension shortnames at "Ext 201" (etc.), as if you did you'd never change them (there'd be no need, except to reset the VM box).

Hope this helps...
