Hi there

I have a customer running VM 2.1(5)
XP Pro (SP2).
licences are valid .
firewall is off .
running as a service
VM has stopped working, dial *17 and you get silence, the output on the VoiceMail Professional server console outputs the following message when *17 is dialled:
"Unable to access, awaiting load of config access to voicemail is denied".

The user claims not to have touched the server.

We have tried the lot, restarted VM server, restarted IPO, restarted the VM Service, checked IP addresses, set them to broadcast and unicast, deleted time server IP addresses. zero, nada!!!!!

All of the WAV files are were they ought to be.
We are one step away from reinstalling the whole app!

Any help would great

What is the softwareversion of the IP-Office.
VM-Pro 2.1(5) is old you already have 2.1(18) in combination with IP-Office 2.1(31).

Start with the easy stuff first like if your server is still on the network.

Thanks for the posts lads, we discovered in the problem its was resolved 10mins after I posted.

The message that appeared in the VM server pro console seemed to be a firewall type message, we looked in the VM Client and what do you know there was a password in the administrator / preferences / general settings, some clown had been fiddling and set a password, we erased it, shut the server app down restarted it and hey presto it now works.

Thanks

Chaps
