Hi all,

Please help, We have an s8700 and are using vectors to forward calls to voicemail, the problem is that they are fours rings before the calls go to voicemail, how can I reduce this?

Regards

Markj

how are you sending calls to voicemail?
a messaging skill step in a vector, or coverage paths?

We are using a phathom extension.

check the coverage path you are using, set it to a lower # of rings

Why are you using phantom extensions. These use up your RTU's. Set it up as a vdn then assign a vector to go to VM. It resolve your issue for you.

What make/model/release of VM are you using? Could be that the VM won't integrate when using vectors to send calls. Weird sounding, but found true. See support.avaya.com under modular messaging for one example.
