Voicemail Question

I was wandering if Intuity Audix voice mail would work on a merlin 1030. The reason I am asking is because my merlin only has 8 conducter ports, and I am not sure what the audix has.

No, the Audix uses single-line ports to interface to the phone system, which needs to send in-band DTMF signalling to the Audix to indicate how to handle calls. Depending on the Audix, you may have voice cards with 8-conductor jacks on the voice cards, but they are really 6-conductor, 3-line RJ-25 jacks.

Well, someone just told me that the 1030 cannot use voice mail, period. Audix, Octel, Classic mail, Merlin mail. They said that none of them could be used!! I do not belive them.


What do you think???

The only voice mail the 1030 /3070 will use is the AT&T merlin Voysys, which is 2 or 4 port only , so yes you can do voice mail

What systems can you use merlin mail (the origional) with???

if you are talking merlin mail then it is the the legend if you are talking Voysy it is the Merlin 820+ & the 1030

I always thought that these were for the classics. Also, can the 1030 do an outside transfer??

neither of those are for the 1030 ,they are for the merlin legend, you could also use them as a stand alone voice mail for Partners which support voice mail
Q2 as for transfer out of the 1030, its been awhile since i work on one but you can transfer out side if you had an offprem module to that offprem station
