I have a Norstar system, and all of the phones read Meridian. I have had this system operating for about 6 years. The problem is that when I, or someone else accesses their voicemail (feature 981) it sometimes stops (freezes up) or speeds up (sounds like a chipmunk). Is there something I can do here to solve this problem. Sorry not so descriptive with the equipment, but I am still learning all of the in's and out's of this system

Of course this will not be easy...The only documentation I can find which references either, says that I have Startalk Flash. This is in the coordinators guide and is listed under the password reset instructions. Is there a way to difinitively tell which one I have?

lifit:

Startalk Flash Software version:

1.-Feature 983
2.-LOG: 1020000(3 digit Ext's) or 120000(2 digit Ext's)and Press OK
3.-The display will show "Admin"
4.-Dial 9 and the Software version is displayed.

Well anyway the Flash has a built in drive (chip) and the Startalk A, B, & C have a hard drive. This is normally what goes when the speech is messed up.

The software version is NVM 3.0.10A

I would assume that if I have a problem with either a chip or a hard drive that it would not be something I could purchase and replace myself?

It sounds like your Harddrive is going bad if you want to replace it yourself you will need to know what processor your using.
