Voicemail problem

I have a customer that's having a voicemail problem. He has one phone setup in Site A and one phone in Site B. Site A and B are connected by a Point-to-Point T1. His phone in Site A is programmed to hunt and fdn to his phone in Site B. Site B phone is program to hunt and fna to his voicemail.

For some reason, if a customer calls his Site A phone, site a will ring 3 times, then goes to site b, after 3 rings it would to the main greeting instead of his personal greeting.

If you call his phone in Site B directly, there's no problem. Or if I changed Site A's FDN and HUNT to 91XXX-XXXX, it would work.

I need to know what I need to program?

Try associating his Site A number with his Site B mailbox.
Go into mail and select the following from the main menu:

3 - voice admin
4 - voice services admin
1 - voice services dn table

then "add" a new DN. enter his Site A number for "access DN", under "service" enter EM for express messaging then enter his Site B mailbox.

Sorry I forgot to put that they have Octel voicemail.
 
Well a work around until you get this worked out properly (as in second forwarding working). I would build an autoforward mailbox in Octel (COS 401 usually). This is basically like a second DN entry in Meridian Mail. It registers the dialed dn (CLID) and references the table where it basically says to forward that call with that CLID to this mailbox.

FYI: If SFA is not working properly then I would check your CLID tables and DN associations to make sure it is processing correctly. If you want to discuss this, give me your email and I will send you my office number.
