Hi Guys,
Mitel 3300 MCD 4.1 10.1.0.69_1

This has happened to me several times and I've no idea why. Calls come into a Hunt Group (6500) 4 Members 3601,3602 etc. which appear as Multicalls on 3 x 5312 Sets. x2000, x2001 and x2002. In Day Service calls ring the Multicalls and answered as normal. In Night 1 the calls go straight to a Mailbox 6500 in which callers can leave a message, Its set up to notify x2000 when there's a message. This works great on most of my installations, but on the odd one it dosent alert x2000, for some strange reason it lights the lamp of x2002. Any ideas would be appreciated as this is driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance

Steve

Hunt group message waiting can be very confusing.

If the members are prime lines, the first member will get the Lamp - Pretty straight forward.

If the members are Non-Prime lines, the phone that is programmed first with the first member of the hunt group will get the lamp.

You can work within these limitations and make sure that you program the Non-Prime appearance first on the set that you want to lamp. However, keep in mind that when the system is upgraded, the sets may not be restored in exactly the same order and the lamp may move as a result.

My solution is to avoid associating the mailbox with the huntgroup. On Embedded Mail you can override the VM integration and force the call into a specific MB. For your example, I would choose MB 3601. I would then program a MWI key on the phone(s) responsible for retrieving the messages. (e.g. 2000)

To accomplish the override, you create a Nametag Huntgroup numbered #3601 (5 digits). Make #3601 a first alternative routing point and Route #3601 to voicemail on an Always condition. Route 6500 to First Alt #3601.

Call flow:
Call to 6500
Rings available key (3601 - 3604) on Stations 2000-2002
On no answer 6500 routes to #3601
#3601 routes to MB 3601
3601 takes message and sets lamp against 3601
Ext 2000 has MWI key for 3601

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, its been driving me insane, and a number of my colleagues. Weve never got to grips with this issue since we began installing these back last year.

I've been using a similar way by using a spare analogue and re-routing that, but if Clip is enabled it dosent show it just says from XXXX Always.

I'll give this a try today, thanks again for your help
