We have a customer service dept that responds to inquiries on a number of brands. Each brand has an 800 number that is associated with a DID on our IP Office. Currently each brand has its own hunt group that each customer service member has to be added to so that they know what brand the call is about. I was trying to come up with a more elegant solution that would allow a single hunt group then just set the source of transfer option to identify the brand. To do this I think I would need Voicemail Pro to be able to identify the number that the person called in on. Is there a way to do this? I didn't see any variable options that would apply.

You can select "DDI" in Telephony>Variable action OR create a condition and test $DDI equals you DDI number OR in Manager>Incoming Call Route set a logical value in the TAG field, that will be presented on all ringing phones and it will be visible on any transfer for the lifetime of the call OR you create a group for each DDI with a logical name, set the group OOS and route the call to the group with the agents, then the initial group name will be visible on ringing AND connected phone, each DDI groups can have its own queue announcements. And these are only the options that come up without really thinking about it.
