Hi all,

Getting frustrated here, I used to be avaya tech years ago, back in the days of IPOffice and 403's etc, I've got a friend who has an old IP Small Office, I picked up a dongle with couple of Phone Manager Pro, and a Voicemail Pro licence.

He was currently running voicemail Lite,

I have setup a Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit Box, installed Manager 4.2.23 (6.2.23), and VMPro 4.2.34

Avaya PABX 192.168.55.150 (IP401NG 4.2.23)

Win7 Box 192.168.55.2

Voicemail is working, made a basic AA works fine

Voicemail to email???

Win7 Box with Outlook2007 profile setup as Outlook (default), user administrator@domain.com, in pop mode, sends and recieves emails perfect email address is a 365 account, SSL & TLS

I Have put users email address under email in Voicemail tab in Manager, and clicked Alert, and VM is on

Control Panel of WIN7 Box, IP Office VMPRO entry, account details using the administrator@domain.com, SMTP setting none, as want to use MAPI

VMPro Admin/General/in IP Office Mode
Admin/General/MAPI Outlook (Same name as Outlook2002 Profile) Mapi password is blank, and MAPI selected

No Go, any ideas? Please help

Voicemails with vmpro come from the vm server and not the ipo.

Fqdns didn't resolve until Release 9.0.x., at least on the ipo.
You need a local smtp server ip address or a static cloud based ip address that won't change. Dns resolution doesn't change the address.

Download debug viewer from ipofficeinfo.com and run that on your server. Read the trace as vmpro tries to send it.
If you're good you can read it like a mofo without stopping the trace.

You haven't lived until you've been affected by a lack of gratuitous arp.

Hi Holdmusic34

Gave up on MAPI, found a real easy work around for port 25 smtp

installed hMailserver, setup a dummy localhost domain eg, qwerty.com and user voicemail@qwerty.com

told vmpro control panel to use voicemail@qwerty.com, and smtp localhost 25

then setup hmailserver to relay onto a new gmail account (xxxxx@gmail.com , ssl, 465, and used smtp.gmail account)

works every time perfect

There you go.
