Are you talking about a touch-tone gate, to test if the caller is using a, what was it called again, oh yeah, "rotary" phone? Sure, if you really want to - make the first step in your callflow be a menu token that plays a "press * if using a touch tone phone" prompt, has * and timeout as the DTMF choices. Connect timeout to a transfer to reception, and * to the rest of your callflow.
Make sure you set timeout to at least 1 second, I've had problems with a 0 second timeout starting on R2.x
