Unfortunately in VM Pro Client 11_1_2 someone type: "Wavs" in the Voicemail Server Speech directory field and the result is VM Pro prompts not playing any more, no new Prompts can be created and this path cannot be modified...
No way to change the Voicemail Server Speech directory to the default or any other path

Any suggestions other that re-create the whole App server ?

It is IP500V2 R11_1_2 with latest App Server 11_1_2

What happens when you try to change it?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Nothing. Cannot move upwards or browse to any directory.
If you change any value in the path of vm pro client it cannot returned back to default directory!
Reboot of the server didn't help

I've seen it now myself on both an Application Server and a SE Primary server. Fortunately for me just test rigs.

This menu really is just a hangover from the days of Windows based Voicemail Pro and should have either been made read-only for Linux based servers or even removed.

I suspect the workaround is finding a way to manually edit whichever file those preferences are written to on the Linux server (anyone any idea?). Otherwise its a fully reinstall (might be possible to uninstall the voicemail service and then to reinstalling it using RPM files but no idea if that will removed settings files without affecting existing messages and prompts).

Okay, here's what I did to recover my test machines. It didn't affect existing messages and mailbox greetings, names, announcements. It will reset all the Voicemail Pro preferences so note any that you have changed. Also if you have any custom callflows you'll need to export the MDB file from the client for later reimport (as far as I can tell the MDB doesn't include the preferences settings).

[li]In the web control menus, went to Updates.[/li]
[li]For the Primary or Application Server service, clicked Uninstall.[/li]
[li]For the Voicemail service, click Uninstall.[/li]
[li]Now reverse the steps and Install the Voicemail service and then the Primary or Application Server service.[/li]
[li]Stop and then restart the server.[/li]
[/ol]

That's all I can offer at the moment, no promises, but easier than a full reinstall.

You really (REALLY) saved the day. Definitely a big star for this
