Voicemail Pro running out of space because of /opt/vmpro/tempfiles

We have IP Office 500 V2 11.1 with Voicemail Pro. A couple days ago we started getting alarm emails with the message "UC Module disk usage exceeds 90% of capacity: slot 3". Those alarms are now cleared, we have total space of 18.4 GB and 2.2 GB free space. But I noticed that the /opt/vmpro/tempfiles folder seems to have been the source of the increased disk usage. At one point it was up to about 12 GB total space consumed; now it's down to 9.4 GB.

Looking at that directory, it's currently got 300+ WAV files generated within the last 24 hours, all with a file size of either 40,799 KB or 21,858 KB. Here's a sample from a WinSCP session log:

Can anyone provide some info on the function of the tempfiles folder? What are all these files? Is it normal for it to get that big? Thanks!

We got some support from an external party and they fixed this by deleting all the files in that folder. After that we are still seeing the occasional file being generated in the folder, but they're only about 400-500 KB in size, and they do not seem to be accumulating. Looks like they're getting cleared out within 15 minutes or so.
