Voicemail Pro Not Connecting

Have Voicemail Pro on standalone PC with IP address same as IPO...Voicemail PC does not see IP office...even when directly pointed to it via IP address.. Ideas why this is not connecting to the system.

In IP manager it is set for the IP of the Voicemail PC

When you say the VM Pro and the IPO have the same IP address do you mean they are in the same range or have the same IP? They need to have different IP addresses.

Unless I misunderstand your post, you are attempting to use two devices on the same IP address. Each device on a network must have a unique IP address, so I suggest changing the IP address of one device and see what happens.

I apologize to both... Current set up

IP OFFICE
IP 192.168.1.5
Voicemail Pro PC
IP 192.168.1.7

I can manage via IP Manager on VOicemail Pro PC the system i can ping IPO but voicemail pro on file log in under Browse or 192.168.1.5 will not connect

Also user name and password are local to the PC not the Administrator crudentials of IPO correct?

License issue??? Do you have proper licensing and is your license server up and running?
 
I have a license key but it is a COM key and there are no com ports on this PC....

Then you can not put it on the pc. feature key server installed?

Try reboot VMPRO, and IPO, that should make the license not an issue for a while. You might want to call your local Avaya business partner, but make sure they have their product authorizations on the IPO, or you should not let them touch it.

 
If I understand you correctly, you are trying to log in to Voicemail pro, you it login, browse, or put in the ip address of 192.168.1.5. If that is correct then it wont work, you need to put in the address of the voicemail server itself. you are trying to login to voicemail, so the voicemail client is essentially asking you what is the IP address where the voicemail service running and that is the voicemail server.

Use the ip address 192.168.1.7 and it should work.
 
I got the VM working..the service was not running hence why the software could not talk to the PC. My other issue is my vendor told me the Feature can be plugged into the back DTM port on the 412 i found this odd as i know with any type of hardware keys they musdt be direct to the PC...ideas on this?

If its a 9 pin serial dongle you have, then yes it can plug in to the DTE port on the back of the 412.

In Manager, set the license server address to 0.0.0.0

I checked out your link, and I do not understand how you can have a Business Partner for the IPO, when your company seems to sell, and support the IPO yourselves. That would make you the business partner unless you are the distributor. In either case your two trained, and product authorized IPO implementors Avaya require that you have on staff to provide these services should be able to fix your problems, and answer your questions in a couple minutes, or if not try your offical support channels via your distibutor, or Avaya. They should be able to help you much better than through a forum, and save you some time.
