We found something interesting.

If you have a number of shortcodes, like the following:

AABroadway
AABroadwayMaind
AABroadwayAmeri
AABroadwayVietn

the system does not know the difference between them. We found if you try to call a Main Menu control, it plays silence. Or sometimes plays one of the other modules/shortcodes.

We fixed the issue by doing the following:

AABroadway
MaindAABroadway
AmeriAABroadway
VietnAABroadway

Just make sure you use unique names until avaya fixes it.

Anyway, thought we would share our findings and to see if any one else has run into this.

Cheers!
CJ

You are limited to 15 characters for Voice Mail Modules which you probably know because you're OK there. Since you need to put VM: in front of the module this leaves you with a practical limit of 12 characters. You were still unique within the 12 characters, but still over 15 with the VM: --that might have been part of the problem.

On a side note I found that if you name a module "Record" it will be called everytime you use the record to voicemail feature.

The "Record" module is a poorly documented feature of VM pro & enables users to customise whre recordings are placed.

It is not requied as often no that V2.1 alolows you to specify the mailbox for recoprdings (both manual & auto)
