We have an issue with a new Voicemail Pro :

its seeems to run fine for about 2 hours and then stops
processing calls be it by dialing *17 or calling an extension and going to voicemail .....stop and start services in control panel seems to run fine for a while

license is showing as valid (4 port intuity mode)

ip addresses are set correct

the Voicemail server is plugged into lan port 2 on 406 module...and not the customer's network
running windows 2000 professional on voicemail server

Voicemail server is set for Automatic in
settings>
control panel>
administrator>
services>

could it be a port speed issue on the Server ??
what speed do the Ip Office lan ports run at ??
100 full or 100 half
10 fuul or 10 half

running for 2 hours before stopping means you do not have a vaild Licence code

1) make sure you copy & paske the licence key do not try & type it by hand

2) Make sure the Feature key server is running, it can see the dongle & it has a good network connection to the IPO.

3) make sure you are suing the correct manager for the version of IPO firmware (merging confing into a V2.1 sytstem from a V4.0 Manager WILL invalidate the licences)

1 The license never says invalid ...its always been
valid .... I cut and pasted all the licenses while doing them .....

2 feature key shows up on the right handside of task bar
there is no X showing through the dongle icon
serial number matches

3 this one I will have to check ....all licenses are
showing valid in manager ....they are going to use ccc

try restarting the key server service if on W2k or XP

running 2.0.16 on manager and 2.0.16 on voicemail pro
Avaya Support says need to bring manager to 2.0.18 and voicemail pro to 2.0.17 (known issue with 2.0.16 ) where
you have to keep restarting services

Do you defintely have the correct license? Is it showing up as VoiceMail Pro 4 ports or Additional 4 ports of VoiceMail Pro - if it's the latter, you don't have the RMA license installed which is required!

To answer your question of 10 or 100, the last I have heard is that 406 and under run at 10 Full Hub and the 412 runs at 100 ? switch. If all else fails uptop; note that I had similar trouble and I tried swapping my USB Donngle connection with an alternate usb on the same pc. This fixed my trouble and it worked. If you are serial or even usb try switching Key server (pc) for a trial and see if the pc or port is causing the issue. Not to forget updating the 406 of it's location.
