Hi Guys
IPO 10.0.0.2
Linux VMpro 10.0.0.2
IP phones 9608.

I have a strange issue when dialling *17 on Linux application server.
This was working until the IT guy changed the vlans on the data switch.

the vmpro is working and I can dial in to the Auto attendants.
I can transfer to mailboxes and hear the recordings etc.

I can use visual voice to record the mailbox greetings.

The issue is when I press *17 I hear silence..the Phone screen displays the users vm:name
I cant seem to see why this has happened when very thing seems to be working and can hear the recordings messages
the eu (english prompts are there )

just looking looking for pointers as to why I get silence.
and yes the IT guy will be look at this tomorrow..hopefully we will solve it

Direct media path will not have any effect on this.
As the auto attendant prompts play I suspect you changed something within VMPro like the default path for the wav files.

Good thinking
I will check that as I did have a blip when the Vmpro client opened.
It allowed me to log in but the main screen didn't show.

I clicked on the VMpro client icon again and it showed up.

When I saved back I noticed some modules from a previous session appeared .

I will look at that.
Thanks

issue solved.
/opt/vmpro/Wav path was correct.

The issue was ME[curse].

As I said some how the previous training client was open and when I saved it this one was saved instead of the one I was working on..

in it I had a test configuration which I was playing with in VM Pro exercises which allowed you to set up a default leave point.
in this was a menu to press 1 to leave a message or 2 to ring the extension.
and you've guess it....[hairpull2] it was using *17 to direct all users to this menu..
The problem was the greeting for the menu was missing and that's why I got silence.

just 3 hours off my day wasted...I was ready for reinstalling the vmpro.

that's for the help.
