VoiceMail PRO email issue

I have a VMPRO for an IPO-500 and I have it set up to send emails through MAPI using Outlook 2003 using our Gmail account. I tried SMTP and it won't work - whatever... My problem is that it sends the email with the attachment in the .dat format instead of the .wav format. Is there any way to fix that?

in VMPro, change it from Mapi to SMTP.
