voicemail pro deleting new messages

I have a customer that has voicemail pro 5.0.26. The customer has a vm light goes into the mailbox and their are no new messages.They are getting vm to email but the new message is not always in the mailbox? They are set to copy on the email setting? Also the housekeeping for deleting new messages is set to 0.

Any ideas?

 
goto the vm/accounts folder/user name folder and find out if the wav files or any files exist.

 
More info on how you've set this up.

-user or huntgroup voicemail?
-source number of the user?
-options ticked in huntgroup or user.

CarGoSki: no wave file under the folder but the client has the voicemail on his email. I left a vm to client on tuesday evening, client got the vm on his email but when he came in the morning next day the vm light was off and no messages when went into the mailbox to check it.

You could try upgrading to 5.0.30

Bas1234: Yes and vm to email is set to copy.

And i'll give that a try but apart from this do you thing anything else that would be causing it?
 
Did the user name get changed recently and that change was merged and not booted?

 
In the 6.1 there where some SMTP problems, it could be that you have the same problem but that it's not documented anywhere.

Any chance there was a user previous to this extn. Ive seen that corrupt the extn VM when not removed correctly Try building this person as a new user and extn. Dont copy any settings
 
CarGoSki: This a old user and no changes were made to it.

nbfd731: No previous user. And from one user its happening with other users as well so its a system wide issue not to one individual user.

And it was working i just started 2 days ago.
 
Sounds like it is behaving as if set to forward message to email. If the issue is starting to occur on other systems then perhaps it is a vmpro server issue. Perhaps scheduling a reboot of the system will clear the issues.

If you were fluent in using dbgview then you would be able to see the email exchange and the file creation in the accounts folder. You would likely also see the real issue as errors in the traces.
