voicemail personal greeting

I have a TVA-50 with a tda-30 and cant seem to make the personal greeting for each voicemail pickup. After the call forward timer expires it gives the caller a generic message stating to press 1 to leave a messasge for the extension and does not play the greeting i recorded for the voicemail box. Also the timer in the telephone system for call forward no answer does not seem to do anything when i change it.
Any help is appreciated.

Use fwd or intercept to voicemail to send the call to voicemail the no answer timer in vm will bring back and giv options
