Voicemail Password Reset throught hyperterminal

Good morning. I'm a beginner to the whole meridian scene..

I'm trying to do a voicemail password reset throught laptop connected via hyperterminal. When I type AX it comes out on the screen backwards, in other words its not readable..

My question is there any other way of changing a voicemail password in the Meridian..
