voicemail not releasing hunt group call?

Hey all,
I have a 406v2 r4.2(17) with a hunt group problem. When people call into the system they hit an auto attendant first and then press option 1 for the group. The transfering works fine and it rings the 2 phones that are in the group (setup as collective), but when they pick up the handset to anwser the call it's dead air. They see the caller id on the phone but no one is home. the customer has to call back and then is will work fine. just a randon problem. I do have call queing setup on the group, Is it possible the vm is not releasing the call to the extension when they pickup the handset? any help would be great!
 
I trust it works 100% of the time if you direct the incoming call directly to the group not via the AA.??
Is this VM Pro AA or Embedded VM AA??
You do not need queueing on the group unless you wish for calls to queue.
Are the calls presenting on ISDN or ALOG lines??
