Voicemail not illuminating ????

Hello I have an Octel Aria running with a Nortel Option 11C. One of my users when he gets a message the light is not turning on to tell him that he has a message. Then there is another user that has no voicemail his light is illuminating and wont turn off. Does anyone know how I can fix the one that the light is not turning on even when he has a message.

Yes...the voicemail box with the light not alluminating. You must make this a MARP...primary extension for that phone then this should work. The other problem: First try leaving the phone unplugged for a few mins and plugging it back in...if this doesn't work try disabling the message waiting notification on the Octel and the reenabling again. This should solve both issues.

Thanks for the response back. What I did with the mailbox that would not stop lighting even though its got no message in it. I left it a message then retrieved it and the light just went away. Weird.

For the VM that wont illuminate when they get a message the main DN is and has the MARP marked as its main DN number. I had to delete the mailbox and then rebuild it and boom it worked correctly.

Does these mailbox get corrupted that easily. This is the first that I have seen that having to remove it then rebuild it again. Again Weird.
