Voicemail not emailing 1

setup as per the tech tip,

Outlook 2000 no service packs
workgroup PC Loggin in as Voicemail
Internet only email setup as voicemail@mydomain.com
outlook can send ok manually
PC is windows 2000 professional

get error in debugger

mapi logon failed 3

Check the VM Pro Service is also logging in as Voicemail

forgot that bit, it is logged in as voicemail with same password set all the way thru

It's not clear, but I am pretty sure I've seen it before that you need Corporate or Workgroup mode for a variaty of MAPI applications. I only ever install in Internet Only mode for home users because of this.

wasnt that clear to the Avaya Engineer that couldnt fix it, thanks swapped to internet and corporate/workgroup and emails like a dream!!!!!!

now i just have a voicemail lite to get going on a SBS server on a client i inherited. First i will upgrade them from version 1.3 to version 2.0

Well System 2 on the SCN setup exactly the same and the darn thing doesnt email!, gets the mapi logon failed 3.

If system 2 is on your SCN, why not use centralized VMS to the VMPro (where you already have email working)?
