what voicemail are you using?

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

Sounds like you have a stand alone Nupoint. Not sure from your post but do you mean you went in and defined all the networks that contain phones that need to connect to the Nupoint in the local networks tab of server manager?

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

I'm using embedded vm.
I have now competed a data save / data restore and the issue still remains.

Only thing I can think of doing is a full reload of the software??

Cos definitely correct.

This was working, issue had had 2 of us scratching our heads all weekend.

Think I'm going to have to raise with mitel.

You say this WAS working. What changed? Upgrade?

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

Nothing as far as I know, unless the customer made a change that they haven't informed us about.
I have cross checked the config to working systems to ensure I am noit missing anything obvious.
Nothing in the logs to assist us.

have you tried dialling the vm ports individually?

Can you also check the status of the ports

Status 1 4 27 1 etc.

check to see if the ports are idle

all ports are idle, when I dial them individually and perform a "stat" they are showing as ringing / answered etc

when answered I dont hear anything

How many ports are you using and do you have any alarms e.g. DSP resources?

Have you tried iPVM_Stop and then iPVM_Start

tried iPVM_Stop and then iPVM_Start
Tried hard reboot.

System is alarm few, no obvious errors in the logs.

Potentially thniking we need to reload the software.

Yes it could be that the voicemail system partitions are corrupt.
You can preform an online upgrade to the same software level to the inactive partition i.e. Partition4
If you preform an upgrade to the inactive you can restore the database and then you can just simply use the SWAP command to switch to it, and do this at a time that is convienient to you to minimise downtime.

thnaks for the advise, given you a star for the assistance on my 2 threads.

Cheers

I cant believe this - voicemail has just started working...
I havent changed anything????????????

Dodgy Mitel Software ;o)

I suppose you will need to monitor it for the time being and see if it settles and remains working or if it stops working to rebuild the inactive
