Hi guys

I have an interesting scenario that I have never faced. I have a customer that has 2 x 3300 MXE controllers in a resilient cluster. The main controller has about a 1200 users on it and is taking a bit of strain. I have been asked to move all of the voicemail boxes over to the redundant controller and have that controller control the voicemail.

Is there an easy way to do this or would it be best to delete it all and recreate it on the resilient controller? I have permission to delete the mailboxes if needed.

Delete and recreate is really the only way

Import spreadsheets are your friend

you can ftp out the greetings and check the pin numbers in use to make the transition smoother

dont think the actual messages can be moved

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

@ Billz66

Would you attempt to ftp 1200 Mb's names and greetings?

Especially considering you would need to initialize each and every mailbox first to disable the tutorial otherwise the effort is completely wasted.

I didn't mention it for this exact reason.

I didn't say it would be pleasurable , just possible.

Sometimes customers wont take the truth ( just get the users to set them up again from scratch) as the best method.

the ftp'ing wouldnt be the drama but you are correct , manually dialling very one of them would push it into a non starter.

Thanks for all the advice , I have deleted and recreated all the voicemail boxes
