Is there a way for me to make a voicemail lite a regular voice. So I could have an Auto Attendant. Is there a keycode I could purchase to enable that feature.

I have a customer who has a regular voicemail flash but after a power outage. For some unexplainable reason, it lost all the programming and came as a voice lite.

Thanks in advance.

rookie,
I understand there is a key code to upgrade Flash Lite to full status. You will need to contact your vendor.

Or you could also do this:

FLASH VOICEMAIL LIGHT SCENARIO
SENARIO: This location has a CICS running 4.1 software. They are installing a flash voicemail having 2.0 light software instead of the standard 2.0 software.
The customer configured the flash and now has discovered that auto attendant is not allowed. This is normal since it is light software. They defaulted the flash voicemail and installed standard 2.0 software. The auto attendant is still not allowed.

Solution:
Down grade the Flash software to a lower level such as 1.9. You can not go lower than flash voicemail 1.9 in this situation since the KSU software is 4.1.

Procedure:
1. Flash voicemail with the 2.0 vml (light)
2. Power down Flash and remove 2.0 VML PCM/CIA card.
3. Power down flash and remove 2.0 VML PCM/CIA card
4. Install and configure flash with downgrade flash 1.9 VM software.
5. Power down and remove the 1.9 VM software, then install and configure the flash with 2.0 VM software.
6. Test to verify the AA is available in programming.

Melissa,

Good tip! Shorting out the cap doesn't delete the Lite configuration info. This is much simpler and cheaper than getting a keycode. Thanks. Brian Cox
