Voicemail lite crashes on Windows Server 2003

Hello all,

in thread940-1066493 the problem has been described. When you use the voicemail>>email function vm lite crashes when he log's into outlook express. Has anyone found a solution for this?

The problem is not Windows Server 2003 but Exchange. Exchange has it's own MAPI32.DLL. Voicemail Lite uses MAPI to send messages through Outlook Express. Since the MAPI32.DLL is different from the Outlook Express Voicemail Lite crashes.

If you try to install Outlook (the one that comes with Office) on a server running Exchange you'll get a warning message about the MAPI32.DLL.

The only solution is not to use Voicemail Lite on a server running Exchange if you want to send email messages. Voicemail Pro on a server running Exchange is no problem since Voicemail Pro can use SMTP to send messages.
