Voicemail Light on

I have Partner Release 7.0 and had a power outage, ext. 10 phone line shows I have a new voicemail but when I go into it there is no voicemails, I am using the 34D button phone.

Any idea what may be causing this?

maybe they have a message in the general mailbox 9991

go in your vm
dial 9991 and dial your password
and then you will be able to listen messages and normally the message lamp will go off

or try feature 09 or feature 10
