Voicemail light and prompt not working for 7941 phone

Hello,

We are on the CUCM 6.1 - I have a phone where the vm light and prompt is not working. I don't believe it's the phone because I rebuilt a new phone and am getting the same issue. The other phones at her office do have this issue and each one is setup the same. Is there something outside of the phone setup causing this? I have the Visual Message Waiting Indicator Policy set to "use system policy" and even tried setting this to light and prompt which still did not work. Any idea's?
 
So the phone is not saying it has a VM on the screen and the light is not working at all? Does the light blink when a call is coming in? If not, you might have a bad light on the phone.

correct. no light or envelope indicating voicemail. I built a new phone for her and I have the same issue so that would rule out hardware i would think.
 
Look in Unity and see if it already thinks the light is on. Under Unity Tools, UTIM, resynchronize the MWI and see if it fixes the issue.
Just for fun, have you tried to dial the MWI On and Off codes from the phone?
 
assuming that the voice mail platform is Unity (not clarified) is this a Unified or voice mail only deployment?
 
voicemail is unity. pndscm - what is UTIM? I am unable to find that in the menu?

pndscm - I found what you were referencing. I then found the codes and dialed the on code. Sure enough the phone is now working. Thank you very much!
