voicemail issue

I am setting up a norstar system for a small business and am having an issue. When any of my six lines are in use instead of going to the next line it automatically goes to voice mail. If anyone knows anything on setting up the phone to go thyropugh all of the lines instaed of straight to voice mail...your help would be highly appreciated.

Check your phones for "Call Fwd Busy", if any phone that has all the lines ringing on them has this set, this setting can make the calls go to the voicemail. You can also look in F983-AA-Lines and make sure the AA is not setup to answer your lines.

i am also having another issue where instead of my auto attendant answering it goes to mailbox extension 229....any clue on why this could be happening...i am using a call pilot 150

Go into programming, F**config

Under terminals and sets
under capabilities
under fwd on busy
Clear the extension #
Under fwd no answer hit show and next
it will say # of rings
Make sure the # of rings is more rings than what the auto attendant picks up in-example

If your auto attendant picks up in 3 rings
Your phones must be set to fwd no answer in 4 rings, "if they have incoming ringing lines on the phone".
If you make the lines appear only instead of appear and ring this will also clear up your problem.
