Got a MICS 2.0 & Startalk Flash 1.5. Heres the problem - caller calls in and gets to the recept voicemail box and leaves a message. After the caller hangs up, the line won't release (diamond stays lit up). The voicemail box will get voicemail's with nothing in it, to static in it. The lines have Super for Trunk Mode. They have a DS card in the second slot thats not being used, so I rolled the cards and the problem still exists. They had a company in to look at the problem and they say its the voicemail. A friend with 30 years experience says its the lines because I rolled the cards. Before I go out onsite with a spare MICS cabinet, software, trunk cards and flash, any suggestions. Thanks.

You may have an compatibility issue with the their service provider not providing Disconnect Supervision. Make sure the lines are set for Supervised in line data menu.

I have better luck with Unspr as the Trunk Mode

Sounds like your leval of software is to low I was told you need at least 6.1 on the MICS for the voicemail to work properly

In my experience, it's usually the CO. As curly said, you can fiddle with the disco timers, but if they aren't sending it, there isn't anything you can do on your end.

Who's the provider? Comcast, or Verizon?

It is very easy to prove whether the CO is sending the proper disconnect signal. If you have a butt set or even just a single line analog phone to hook up. Call the line & answer on the butt set or phone. Hang up on the line that you called from & on your butt set or single line phone listen. After about 4 or 5 seconds you should hear the disconnect & you sholud get your dial tone back without having to hang up. If you do not get your dial tone back & it times out to howler tone or a fast busy signal then your CO is not providing proper disconnect supervision.

You have to set the DISCONNECT SUPERVISION on the DS cards to MATCH or be LOWER than what the CO OFFICE is.

That is were the problem is. I had the same problem several
years ago. I found the answer in the Manual
