When soomeone get into their mailbox,
sometimes the system asks for the users password again.

Oh ya... That's because of <fill in Blank>... and you did not set <fill in blank>... This is quite common on your <fill in phone system/voicemail type here>.

Hey bud, sorry to razz ya, but we need lots of info if you want our help. What type of Mitel phone system, voicemail type, how are your users logging in, is it from a set on the system or is it remote access?

My Biggest problem is that I almost always believe what I tell myself.

This is from a 3300ICP and the user is at their own set
5212.

Thanks,

I have had some users experience similar issues at times. Usually, it had something to do with them using the speakerphone function, they were dialing the wrong password, or they dialled the password too soon or quickly.

Do your users eventually get in? If they eventually get in, then it is most likely not the password being incorrect.

To test, I would first try with the handset. The speakerphones on those sets are not the best and if memory servers correct, it is only half duplex. That means that you only get one way audio depending on which end is transmitting. If it is good there, then try again on speakerphone, this time turn off the microphone. The microphone may be picking up something that is interupting the call.

Good luck!

How's the network? If you have high instances of jitter or packet loss it can screw with the DTMF tones getting from the set to the ICP.

I've had occasional users in accousticly harsh rooms/offices experience the same problem and in most cases having them pick up the handset while entering their PW solved it. I suspect some issue w/accoustic feedback being misinterpreted by the EMEM.

Saw that a long time ago with the old SS4/COV instruments on the SG.
