A PSA and a question.

I upgraded a customer from 9.0.3 to 9.0.9 to correct a few issues with dialing. The service pack did fix that all up.

The next day, the users are not able to log into any other mailboxes except the their own personal mailbox. *17 will just prompt for their password.

I checked Manager and found the voicemail code was blanked for all users after the patch. I checked my backup cfg, and the codes were there. The customer will reassign voicemail codes to all and get back to me. Still waiting for an update.

My question is, has anyone else run into this issue, or has a quick fix ? My thinking was because the voicemail codes are all blanked, the system will not prompt users for extension and password, just password.

sounds like it may have switched voicemail modes from like Intuity Mode to IP Office mode

No, in Intuity mode it will ask your mailbox number first, then passcode.

So, not Intuity mode..

Think a security settings, password to short..

I ran into something similar with SE upgrading to 9.0.9.
After the upgrade all VM passwords for 400 users were defaulted back to #. But in the Manager configuration they still had codes. I have ticket open with Avaya about it.. But if it is same issue as mine if you reboot the uc module or maybe the IP500 itself. The passwords may default back to # again..

Thanks for the responses !

Nystech, if you could update what Avaya comes back with, that would be great.

Since the voicemail codes were blanked (possibly because of security settings as per Okkie26, I'll check on that on my next visit), that is preventing users from accessing any voicemails other than their own.

I think the voicemail code enforcement started with 9.1 ?

Just an update. Avaya had me reboot server again last night. All users that are on expansion systems had password set back to #. All users on Main server were ok.. More traces and avaya looking at them.

Another update.

Looks like the Voicemail Pro switched from Intuity mode to IP Office mode after the patch as Joe2938 suggested (have a star).

My customer had to reboot the IP Office a few nights ago, and all the passwords reset.

Now he is also having issues with Voicemail to Email.

May have to wait for the next service pack....
