Voicemail Indicator Light for additional voicemail boxes

New to the mitel world, we have a user who would like to have one of the hunt group voicemail boxes(might be a ring group) light their phone when there is a voicemail. Doesn't seem like a great way to me but what do I know. Anyone know if this can be accomplished?

We have this on our systems, Mitel 3300 (mostly Mitel 5360's). When you assign the voicemail box to one of the short cut keys, on individuals line (key tab...), the Line Type should be "Message Waiting". While this does not allow for the main message light to blink, it does allow for an indicator next to the designated shortcut key on the phone, it displays an orange line next to it if there is a VM waiting. If you also need the line to ring through, you will need 2 shortcut keys utilized, one for the ringing line (setup as a multicall, with a Ring Type of "Ring") and the second one for the VM. Hope that makes sense and is helpful.

First off, what voicemail are you using?

Embedded voicemail on the 3300 or Nupoint?

What phone system is this?

You can only set a Message Waiting Indicator to an EXTENSION. If it is an extension, you can set a message waiting indicator button on another phone.
For example, if you have extension 1001 that takes messages and you want 1002 to be able to retrieve them, you can set an MWI of 1001 on a vacant button of 1002.
On the MiVB, you would do this in the Users and Device Configuration form.

If it is a hunt group, you won't be able to set a message waiting indicator.
