Scenario: Virtual Extension on Neax2000IVS system. Virtual line is configured on 4 different phones. (It's our internal helpdesk number)

Calls placed to this number go to voicemail correctly, and messages can be left.

I would like to know if there is a way to trigger all 4 phones to have the MWI lamp go on if someone leaves voicemail on this extension.

Notes: CMD1303 is set to zero
Under Matworx tried setting the Class 2 section Message Waiting/Reminder to "provided" Phone hardware: Series E(8D)

Voicemail indicators work for all other dterm extensions. We do not have any other virtual extensions that go to any voicemail.

Additional Note: until 2 weeks ago I had not ever worked on a NEC system, please make suggestions thorough and/or easy.

Thank you for any help.

Not 100% sure it was available in the IVS but be aware that it is a system wide setting! Cmd 08 de 140 de 0 exe

As you are a newbie I should explain that the description of the command is Message wait indication "VM" for my line only or my line and sub line on Dterm. 0 = Mw for My line and sub lines. 1 = Mw for My line only

However I have just fired up my copy of eDocs and checked the manual for the IVS and the command is not listed! So unless you have an IVS2 or upgrade, it isn't possible!

Thanks. The MW lamp on the top right does not light up but the button that the line is assigned too now goes red when there is a message.

Thank you so very much.
