Voicemail (IA770) message to external email via SMTP server?

Hello,
I would like to know if and how can be Avaya Aura Communication Manager Messaging (former IA770) on Avaya CM 5.2 (S8300 server)configured voicemail to email routing.
We know and use the way to set another POP3 or IMAP account in an email client on PC to download messages from the voicemail (server - IP of CM, account for example 123 - subscriber number, password - password to the voicemail subscriber).
But we would like the voicemail to automatically send the mail (with the recorded wav file) on server to server basis via another SMTP server to a dedicated email address on external email server . Is that model possible? This simple functionality provides big amount of cheap IT equipment and I can not beleive, that Avaya CM Messaging can not do it. Do you have any experience with that?

You might want to look at IMAP/SMTP connector products such as POPcon.

thats a good (almost free) one. you can also look at Mutare EVM to do this but it will be a little expensive. very nice delivery of emails though and doenst reuire IT staff or users to keep up with their passwords.

Thank you for your reply. It means there is no way to do it without the "man in the middle".
We have resolved that by Exim Internet Mailer (if I know how our Linux specialist did it). For me it is now a black box, but it works .
