Voicemail for hunt group

I am trying to setup a voicemail for a group of people that are in the same hunt group. I lead the calls to a hunt group based on the CCR selection but the customer wants to start manual the non business hours and let a voicemailbox answer.
Is there a way to setup a voicemail for 3-4 users that will appear on all of them and light the message waiting lamp when manual transfer to vm is active? ( feature 984).
Any alternative recommendation?

Yes it's possible. F984 does not work on HGs. Here's how:

Point the overflow of HG to the voice mail DN.

Create a mailbox with the DN of HG with the following settings:
Put one ext of HG in the ext field of the mailbox.
Fill Alternate DNs with the other exts of the HG.

All members of the HG will now get MSG waiting for the HG mailbox.

Note: These phones will not be able to have personal mailboxes.

Do i have a manual option to transfer the calls to voicemail?
the customer does not want to start and stop the non business time automatically based on a greeting table but they need to go to voicemail when they want to at random time by presing a key...

This has nothing to do with the HG. Non-business can be activated manually in F982 "Business Open = N". this will play the non-business greeting until it is toggled back to Y. All this will do is turn on the NB greeting and NB CCR.

It really all depends on how you are functioning. How do callers reach the HG?

Yes F986, enter the mailbox number.

You can also set the "service mode " to a button and use the voicemail DN as the ring group extn.

Assign the line to ring the group 002

Use feature 871 and select the night mode
Press ok
 
The way I am reading it is this....
You want calls to go straight to a mailbox (F984) and not ring a group of phones.

If you do F984 at reception then all calls go to vmail as you know.
If you go into CPAdmin/983 of receptions mailbox (100?) you can add up to 5 "Alternate Exts".
All sets would then display Message For You/MSG/Light as you seem to be asking?
Problem is you cannot add an Alternate Ext to a phone that already has its own mailbox.

Something that might also work is to setup Off Premise Notification at mailbox 100, select Internal, point to the DN of a Hunt Group, add members into the group.
In Class Of Service adjust your timers as to how often to notify etc.
When a message is left then all sets in the HG will ring, they answer and check the message.

sory maybe i was a little confusing.
The system BMC50r3 serves 2 companies. Company A has a dedicated CCR tree and Company B has another dedicated CCR tree that answer different target and physical lines.
Company A has the operator user and the operator set and everything work fine. Company B is a small group of 5 people that have their own auto attendant / CCR tree and message that want to stop answering calls when they want and not on a sceduled basis. When they are not answering calls they want to lead all the calls to the voicemail, and when a message is left then they all 5 want to be notified on their sets. These 5 are a single Huntgroup.
So it is not easy to do nanual change via Feature 982 as this will affect company A where the receptionist is the main attendant.
My issue is how to send the call to voicemail on manual choise , users do not have personal mailbox so all of them can have the shared voicemail on.
any idea?

My status is that i have a fixed non business time now on a greeting table and the company starts and stops getting calls at fixed time. Looking for a solution for how to make it manual open or always open and manual forward to voicemail.

When you say Voicemail do you mean Mailbox or Auto Attendant? are callers not permitted to have options when nobody answers or when closed/away?

with voicemail i mean mailbox answer. When closed/away callers are leaded to a mailbox that anwers with a personalized greting that "thank you , we are closed, please leave your message". All function OK when we have greeting table answering to spesific time and then leading to a CCR with mailbox, the task is to manual - on demand lead to the same mailbox.

I would suggest you use answer DN's to the main phone in the group and use F984 at that set when needed.
Then setup a mailbox behind that main set and setup the "Alternate extensions" per above.

I say Answer DN's because I think HG's ignore F984

If I get this right, you have a option off a CCR tree that points to a HG. You want to be able to have calls be answered by the HG MB on a manual basis. If that is the case, There is no line that can be re-routed in Ringing Services, There is no option within the HG to do this other than overflow.

It's been a while and I am not the office to test but I think you can forward calls to a HG from a phone.

How about trying this. I have done some creative stuff with this in the past.

If you have a spare IP client, build a IP DN. example: 299. Set the phone to Keep Alive under Capabilities I think, Terminal details. Register the DN with a IP 2050 softphone if you have a copy or another IP phone. Program the phone to forward to the HG DN on all calls. Point the CCR tree option that is currently pointing to the HG to DN 299. Make 299 a Alternate Ext on your HG. When you want the calls to go directly to VM use F984 on x299. When you want calls to go the HG remove F984.

You can do this with a Digital phone also, the IP2050 option is so you don't have a spare phone sitting around the office.
