I have a user that has multiple voicemail boxes. They have their personal mailbox plus they are in charge of 2 hunt group mailboxes. They use the voicemail to email option and would like to know if there is a way to distinguish in the email, perhaps the subject line, which mailbox the voicemail is in. I cannot think of any way to this. Is it possible or does anyone have any suggestions to other options that may suffice? Any input is appreciated, thanks!

It is in the subject. It will show source > destination.

Use different email addresses. If they have a web site, they have their own domain and the email addresses should be free. They don't even need an account just an alias or forwarder.

As KHolladay stated, it should already be in the subject line. I handle both my own and the service mailbox. When I get a voicemail from service it comes across in the subject line as caller's name>Service. When it is to me the subject line states caller's name>my user name.

Thanks for the replies. Pardon my ignorance, Ive set up voicemail to email plenty of times but never really payed any attention to the subject line. Im working remotely so I am just going off what the customer requested, I havent been able to actually see what his email is currently displaying. I am trying to get ahold of the customer now to find out what he sees on the subject line. Thanks again.

Dont know if this is common knowledge or not or if it is any help to anyone but it is new to me. While researching this I did find that in vmpro after a leave mail action you can input a email action and in the specific tab you can enter anything you would like for a subject line, and a $ in the attach file to email will attach the wav of the left voicemail. This could be nice if you are looking for a more custom vm to email option rather than just entering the email address under the user in manager.

So I misunderstood exactly what it was the customer wanted. I thought he wanted just a way to distinguish which mailbox the voicemail came from. Which like kholladay said is shown by default in the subject line. Well what he actually wants is to have the email come from a different address on a per mailbox basis. Currently all emails come from voicemail@company.com he would like something like voicemailextn300@company.com. The reason for this is his cell phone has the ability to be on silent but if he gets a email from a particular address it will ring out loud. So he only wants his phone to ring out loud if he gets voicemail from one mailbox but not the other. Any ideas?

Not an IP Office feature.

I don't think the IPO itself can do this. YOu might be able to achieve the desired action by doing something on the mail server side, using a remailer with rules based on content in the subject line?

The only possible way I could think to do this is if he had multiple destination email addresses on different domains as well. With VMPRO you can specify different credentials for different domains...but not multiple credentials for one domain. He would have to setup possibly a gmail.com or a gmx.com or something and within vmpro you could setup each of those domains with a different SMTP senders (will not work with MAPI of course).
