We just had our system reprogrammed after a crash but now
when you transfer a call to another person's extention the voicemail does not pick it up. It rings 3 times then comes back to you.

If a person calls in and the auto attendant picks up and the person dials an extention, and it is not picked up it DOES go to the voice mail.

WHat do i need to do to get voicemail to pick up internal transfers?

Thanks in advance.

I responded to you in the Meridian thread, see if that helps

sounds like the Transfer Callback is set to 3 rings. Take a look under SYSTEM PROGRAMMING.

Another thing that may have happened is that after the crash, the voicemail dn has changed (been there done that).

You need to check the voicemail dn (Feature 985), then look at what dn the "call forward no answer" is set to.

Thanks.

Here is the FIX..

Check to see if the Transfer Call back is set to 3 and the Forward No Answer in Capabilities is set to 4. Then there is your problem. Set the transfer call back to 5 and the FWD No Answer to 4 and your voicemail DN and your all set.

Voicemail will then pick up all calls to that DN after 4 rings.

also make sure Delayed Ring Transfer (DRT) is more rings than forward no answer or just turned off.
