IP406 V2 R5.0.26 VM 5.0.30

When accessing VM I get dead air. Looks like its connected, I don't get number busy or anything. Appears correct, just no audio. Had the VM "interact w/ desktop" and got these 2 messages whcih I think may be the cause.

12:44:23.154 - DevIO::RxAbort <110Leroy (MASTER:10.4.1.10 - SLAVE:0.0.0.0 [INACTIVE]) [5.0 (26)]>, godio=04670DF0
12:44:23.154 - DevIO::Detach <110Leroy (MASTER:10.4.1.10 - SLAVE:0.0.0.0 [INACTIVE]) [5.0 (26)]>

Seems like they can't talk for whatever reason. Any help.

Figure it out damn-it!

master/slave is a vmpro backup arrangement.
Did you try to reboot the computer?

I have rebooted, I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I can ping, licenses are valid etc. Just cant hear the damn Audix lady.

Figure it out damn-it!

is the vmpro service running
do you have a backup vmpro computer programmed and running?
have you downloaded and installed dbgview on the vmpro computer and save traces?
have you made any changes lately?
check the ip addressing of the vmpro computer

Rebooted the ip office? Also try *17 if you hear a voice the it's something in the callflow of vmpro and not the software of firewall.

Yes I read. I have no call flows built. *17 is what I am dialing, same result as pressing messages. Display shows ?extn# but no audio. It appears like its working correctly but no audio.

Figure it out damn-it!

Check the ethernet ports speed and duplex. With an older 406 make it half duplex and 10mb. By default it is probably set to auto and going to fast for the IPO port.

Install vmpro on your laptop, change the ipcaddress in the manager and try again. If that work throw away the pc and get a fresh intall of a 2003/2008 server.

Valid license?
Password mismatch in security settings IPO and password in VM Pro preferences?

Windows updates?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Sooooo.....I have downgraded, swapped PCs, wiped config etc. Same thing is happening. Does anyone have any clue how the phones talk the VM machine, like is there something in the 406 that could be physically broke on the motherboard? Also, does anyone know if a factory reset clears out these security passwords I've read about as a possible cause(if they mismatch)? I'm at a loss. Never experienced this before. Does AT commands off the back of the DTE port do a harder factory reset then the regular command off the Manager program? Sorry for the bother.

Figure it out damn-it!

Get the oldest pc you can find, remove all the crap like preloaded AV and firewalls etc, keep if free of any domain policies etc, load VM on, connect it directly and test...it will work. Then add it to the network if it works you know it's the server/PCs or whatever else is loaded on them. It used to work obviously and the coding of the VM hasn't changed, so what has.... Windows and/or the updates etc. Every time I have seen similar issues rolling back updates on windows or firewalls etc has sorted it, after first proving it by the method I mentioned :)
