Anyone know how to setup VM Pro Intuity so a User can dial a shortcode to access their mailbox, and be prompted for just the Voicemail Code (PIN Code)??.
Seems, you either log all the way in as a trusted source, or you have to enter the mailbox number then the voicemail code.

Realise you could do it with a pin code action in front of the Get mail action, but need it to be user administerable.
Have tried playing round with various shortcodes but no luck so far...

In Intuity mode, it always asks for a PIN. Trusted locations only works for IP Office mode.

Easiest way to do what you want is this....

From outside, dial the DDI for the user, when hearing your personal greeting dial 8, it will then ask for your PIN. Simple as that.

From internal, you need to create a system short code eg S/C=#xxxx T/N=?N Feat=VoicemailCollect, the user dials #4321 (xtn is 4321) which will retrieve voicemail for that user and ask for PIN.

Just add a Get Mail action to the Default Collect Start Point within VM Pro.

There have been loads of posts asking the same thing recently. It's seems everybody is having the same issues with converting from IPO>Intuity mode.

Fooball is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

Already ahve the getmail action sorted, have been using intuity for ages now.
Problem is it takes you all the way into your mailbox, bypassing everything.
I can only get 2 options:
A) No Source - you are prompted for Mailbox # and Passcode
B) Source - You are not prompted for anything.

I want to be able to be prompted only for my passcode.

Will try a variation of latitude12's idea and see....

The suggested short code was actually written in a Technical Tip quite a few months ago. You have to dial a longer code than just the *17 but it works. You're effectively dialling the same number of digits anyway (give or take a couple).

Its either *17 xxxx pppp
OR #xxxx pppp

So you save yourself 2 digits but that's the only way around it.

They should make it so when you dial *17 that it recognises where you're calling from and just ask for a PIN but whether they ever do it who knows.

That's a nice feature, but it would make the "Message" button on the phone useless and customers would problably whine about that instead :)

Log a complaint with Avaya. They just don't see it the customer's perspective. It may technically work but it doesn't work for the customer and that's the most important thing.

The only way they do anything about it is to log a "feature request" with your reseller/distributor and they will add it to the increasingly large list of "feature requests" and possibly somewhere down the line it might be added if enough people ask for it.

1. Go to Default Start Point in V-mail Pro.
2. Set up a Get Mail Action.
3. In Get Mail Action properties under the General tab put a $ in the pin field.
4. In the Specific tab, check Callers Mailbox.
5. click O.K. save and make live.
6. Test phone. They should be prompted to enter an access code not their extension number. If you pick up the phone and dial *17 or if you have a voicemailCollect button programmed on phone this should work (not dial *17 under a button).

Thanks TheDoz, worked a treat. Funny I haven't seen it anywhere before, such a simple thing.....
Cheers,
