We currently have Symposium 5.0 and Call Pilot 2.02. I'm trying to import some new on-hold messaging while callers are waiting in the queue. We have one or two already, and I assumed it would be easy to copy the format to do this, but I've had no luck so far. I'm trying to open a voice session and play a voice segment, and I know the folder on our network that the .wav files are stored in, but I'm lost after that. When I go to the voice segment script variable of the ones we currently have, it states the value is "access:5". If I import a new .wav into that folder, how do I know what number to give it? Or, am I way off base here? Thanks in advance.

Use the CallPilot Application Builder. Look for the application named "access." At the top of the screen on the toolbar, choose "Define" and then "Voice Items." Follow the prompts to add a new voice item. It will automatically give it the next available number. I'm assuming here that you are adding one, not replacing one. if replacement is your goal, then choose the one to replace and again follow the prompts.

To use this voice item, you will need to define a new variable for it in Symposium. Pattern it after the ones you already have. Notice that it is case sensitive, so when you define the CallPilot Application name, watch that. Choose "English" for the language, then access:x - x being your new segment number (access being your Application as you mentioned earlier).

Now you can use this new variable in a script.

If you are trying to merely import the .wav file into the folder, no, that is not the way to accomplish your goal.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
